love a horse collar grille ford pickup. Like the 37s just a little better but the 38 and 39 are still nice

I really like the horse collar COEs for some reason.

Muy excelente.

Not sure why that steering wheel. I'm okay with the 350 in this case given the wealth of non-formulaic things, but the air filter isn't as radical a look as I'd like. I'd have gone with body color oil bath housing and stamped valve covers for the respectable oldness look.

a 85 year old near me has a COE horse collar. Fully restored to original. Built a wood bed and has a restored 30s John Deer tractor on it that he fires up at car shows

That might clash with the chrome fire extinguisher.

Well, the theme of the rod - as much as it has one - being to go minimal on the chrome and body color all the things, I think the current air cleaner could be... improved.

can't really run those valve covers on a 350 with out cutting them a liitle to accept a breather and PCV valve unless that's a 1 in a million shot its a 67 block. Only 350 to have a breather tube in the block.

No doubt. There are a number of things that aren't blue but could be.

Interesting trivia note there. One of those "fuck it, it's too expensive" rethinks? OTOH, there are some clean ways to breather those beauties - and there wouldn't be a whole lot wrong with a 327 in this truck either...

There's a dual oil-bath setup on some Dual Quad GM motors that just looks flat-out cool. It would fit in here:

no or even a 283. The only odd 327 is the 68-69 blocks. Yeah 67 is the last year of the old style breathing system. Also last year of small journal 327s. 68 is a large journal. Best looking OE valve cover for the later style is the LT-1 finned or the plain 68 only chrome.
